It's an exciting time at Kegworth Heritage Centre as we get ready to reopen to the public in 2023. We are looking for a team of volunteers to help achieve our vision of making KHC a community centre for all to enjoy and benefit from. As a General Volunteer you will initially be involved in:

  • Helping to get the museum ready to open, including cleaning and rearranging displays and exhibits
  • Acting as a steward when the museum is open to the public
  • Help with the overall maintenance of the centre where possible
  • Assist in the care for and exhibition of the collection including cataloging and digitising the collection

The successful applicant should be willing and able to participate in a wide range of operational activities required to manage the centre. Looking further forward, there will be more opportunities to help realise the vision for KHC and becoming part of the team responsible for making it happen.

We would like our volunteers to become part of the decision making process within the museum. Over time, we hope that our volunteers will be able to gravitate to take on specific activities that best utilise their unique skills, abilities and interests, and take ownership of some areas. We would also like to extend volunteers the opportunity to join the board of trustees if that is something of interest in the future.
